Parklands Hospital, Basingstoke
KCS Consulting Limited were instructed by Southern Health to carry out the full Mechanical and Electrical Design and project management in conjunction with phased refurbishment work that was undertaken during 2016-2017. The phasing of this project was crucial to the successful delivery as the hospital wards were live throughout.
KCS Consulting Limited attended weekly progress meetings to discuss and mitigate foreseeable issues with the client, ward staff, contractor and architect.
The project involved providing new services to residential, communal and washroom facilities ensuring that the strict anti-ligature standards were met throughout. The mechanical services consisted of providing new ventilation, heating, drainage and domestic water services.
The electrical services consisted of providing new anti-ligature lighting, new electrical distribution and associated small power, adapting the existing fire alarm system and adapting the existing nurse call system with specialist contractors.
